SAINT BASIL

This isolated chapel is hidden within the forest, a few kilometres outside the mountain village. It is an extremely small, single-chamber building with a traditional wooden roof, which for a long period remained entirely in ruins until the reconstruction of its roof in the middle of the twentieth century. In its interior the visitor can behold rare remnants of authentic wall paintings of its era, which despite the passage of the centuries retain their devotional value
