SAINT GEORGE AND SAINT IGNATIOS

Built on the southern side, just a few steps outside the village of Kato Drys, this picturesque little church was erected with local stone in 1950. Its construction was funded from sales of traditional embroidery, with the aim of honouring the passage of Saint George through this particular cave. The space is particularly simple, comfortably accommodating about 20 people. In its interior a noteworthy old icon of the Saint dominates, while the services are rare, offering however the possibility for moments of devotion and prayer
