SAINT GEORGE THE POOR

This hidden and plain religious building is built in the urban area of the Municipality of Paphos, specifically at the location of Skali tis Exo Vrysis near the Universal area. It is a small chapel with a distinctive spiritual character, as tradition holds it to be a quiet refuge where the economically weaker find consolation. In the surrounding area of the church a centuries-old terebinth tree dominates, along with an excellently preserved ancient stone-built pool, while right beside it is an early Christian crypt with a stone arch.
