SAINT GEORGE
This historic and picturesque little church is located at the northern end of the community, within the boundaries of the refugee housing estate created after 1974 for the displaced of occupied Acheritou. It is a small, single-aisled Byzantine building with a dome, whose original erection dates to the end of the Middle Ages. Although the area originally belonged geographically to Frenaros, it was ceded entirely for the needs of the refugees, with the restored and excellently preserved church today constituting a living spiritual symbol of the new refugee community.
