SAINT GEORGE
The imposing stone church of Saint George dominates the centre of picturesque Vavatsinia. It is a historic building of 1912, which was funded entirely by the emigrant Michalis Tsolakis as a generous donation to his native place. It is built on the site of an old terebinth tree, where the faithful used to pray and light their votive lamps.
