SAINT GEORGE
The stone-built Church of Saint George dominates the traditional and listed mountain village of Vavla. It was built in 1920 and is characterised by basilica architecture with incorporated Gothic elements. It is the religious centre of the settlement, while at the same time it preserves the historic icon of Panagia tis Agapis.
