SAINT GEORGE

At the southern end of the community of Gerasa, built upon the main road on a large plot, dominates the church of Saint George. Its construction began in 1907 and was completed a decade later, with the residents themselves transporting the materials. The church is a single-aisled basilica with a pointed central vault and groin vaults, elements that showcase the ecclesiastical architecture of that era
