SAINT GEORGE

The picturesque chapel of Saint George the Trophy-Bearer is built to the east of Dali, very close to the archaeological site of Ancient Idalion. It is a single-aisled domed church constructed of hewn limestone blocks, which closely follows the structure of the neighbouring church of Saint Demetrianos. In its interior only faint traces survive of the original, old wall paintings of provincial style, which suffered considerable damage due to water ingress
