SAINT GEORGE

This small and extremely well-preserved medieval chapel is located in the central square of the Municipality of Deryneia. It is a single-aisled stone-built church of Byzantine style that bears an elegant dome and has undergone certain extensions in the past. In its interior precious old icons of the patron Saint are housed as well as fragments of historical wall paintings, being an important centre of worship of the area
