SAINT GEORGE

The small little church of Saint George Perachoritis is located at the north-eastern edge of Kakopetria, built below a large bridge in the area “Pera Geitonia”. It is a single-aisled timber-roofed church with external stonework of local stone, which dates to the beginning of the 16th century. Its interior was originally fully covered with wall paintings, of which today only a few examples survive owing to the damage from time.
