SAINT GEORGE

The Holy Church of Saint George is the central parish church in Kalo Chorio Oreinis in the Nicosia district. It is a stone-built single-aisled basilica with an impressive bell tower, built at a central point of the community with a view of the surrounding mountains. In the interior of the church the wood-carved iconostasis of exceptional craftsmanship stands out, which houses precious icons and is the focal point of the spiritual and worship life of the residents of the area.
