SAINT GEORGE

This is the parish church of the village, which is built upon the hill of Trevlakas. At the site of the present church a small monastery formerly operated, which however was completely destroyed during the period of Ottoman rule. In the interior of the church a precious miraculous icon of the Great Martyr is kept, whom the residents honour most deeply as he is considered the protector who saved the community from a deadly epidemic
