SAINT GEORGE

This small and plain chapel is built in the seaside community of Pachyammos in the Nicosia district, very close to the boundary with Paphos. The church is dedicated to Saint George and follows the unadorned lines of traditional Cypriot church building with stone elements. Owing to its limited dimensions, it is used mainly as a quiet station for individual prayer and the lighting of candles by the residents and the passing drivers of the area.
