SAINT GEORGE

This small and unadorned chapel is built in the district of Polis Chrysochous in the Paphos district, being dedicated to Saint George. The building follows faithfully the simple lines of the local church architecture of the Cypriot countryside with plain external masonry. Owing to its limited dimensions, the church functions mainly as a quiet station for individual prayer and the lighting of candles by the residents and the passing pilgrims of the area.
