SAINT GEORGE

The Holy Church of Saint George is located in the centre of the old settlement of Pano Stroumbi in the Paphos district. The building, which had been erected at the beginning of the twentieth century, suffered irreparable structural damage from the destructive earthquake of 1953 and later tremors. Owing to the dangerous condition of the church and the relocation of the entire community, the church no longer operates, remaining a historical monument of the area.
