SAINT DEMETRIOS

This imposing church dominates the area of Akropoli in Strovolos and is one of the most vibrant spiritual centres of the capital. Its foundation was carried out at the end of the 1960s, while its completion and operation coincides with a period of rapid urban development of the area. It has intense social, charitable and catechetical work, indeed maintaining its own local radio station.
