SAINT EPIPHANIOS

This medieval church is the old main church in Liopetri in the Famagusta district and is dedicated to Saint Epiphanios. It is an excellent stone-built monument of Byzantine style with an elegant dome, which preserves noteworthy architectural elements and fragments of old wall paintings in its interior. It is located at a central and accessible point of the community, having been exemplarily renovated, and it is now used mainly for special festal services and selected religious sacraments
