SAINT NIPIOS

This ancient chapel is located on the boundary of the communities of Giolou and Theletra in Paphos and is dedicated to an unknown local Saint. According to tradition, Saint Nipios protects small children and helps them in their first steps. The church was saved from ruin thanks to recent restoration works by the Department of Antiquities, revealing stone benches and a medieval tomb. It is an extremely small, plain and isolated monument of religious heritage that attracts mainly parents for the fulfilment of vows.
