SAINT NICHOLAS

This imposing parish church dominates the heart of the mountain settlement and is the central place of worship of the community. It is a traditional building with a characteristic wooden pitched roof and tiles, built with local stone of Pitsilia. Its interior is particularly devotional, housing a wood-carved iconostasis of exceptional craftsmanship from the 19th century and precious historical icons that are honoured with reverence by the residents.
