SAINT NICHOLAS

The small historic chapel of Saint Nicholas is built at the southern end of the community of Chlorakas in the Paphos district. It is a single-aisled domed church, which in the past was the katholikon of an old monastic complex that operated until the middle of the 19th century. According to local tradition, the little church was built by a ship's captain in thanksgiving to Saint Nicholas who saved him from a fierce storm at sea.
