SAINT PHILEMON

In the heart of the Paphos forest, within the boundaries of the completely abandoned mountain village of Livadi, the ruins of the church of the Apostle Philemon are found. This historic building collapsed long ago and now survives only as an archaeological remnant of the medieval period of Cyprus. Owing to its remote location and its condition, the site has no roof or functional facilities, constituting a silent monument to the old ecclesiastical tradition of the residents of the area.
