SAINT TRYPHON

The Holy Church of Saint Tryphon dominates the centre of the community of Steni in the Paphos district. The present church was built at the beginning of the twentieth century with the collective and voluntary labour of the residents, replacing the earlier small building that had been completely destroyed by fire. The building stands out in the area for its impressive and ornate bell tower, which is constructed entirely of dressed hard stone.
