SAINT THOMAS

The religious monument of the Apostle Thomas dominates the central fabric of Aradippou, at a very short distance from the central church of the Apostle Luke. In 1951 its rebuilding from the foundations was completed, as the original building had suffered complete destruction by fire. As evidence of its historical continuity, the craftsmen incorporated into the northern section of the new church a surviving portion of the old masonry. The church is a spiritual core for the area, while the local Hunting Association organises festive events in the surrounding area on Thomas Sunday, the day on which the chapel holds its festival.
