EGYPTIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH OF SAINT MARK

This modern church is housed in a three-storey brick building in Aglantzia in Nicosia and is the spiritual core of the Coptic community in Cyprus. The church is dedicated to Mark the Evangelist, who is considered the founder of the Christian tradition in Egypt. Its interior decoration combines elements of ancient Egyptian Christian art with the liturgical needs of the modern faithful.
