APOSTLE BARNABAS

This newly built church is the official Cathedral of the Holy Archbishopric of Cyprus and is located in the old walled city of Nicosia. It follows the architectural type of the cross-in-square with a dome and stands out for the fact that it has no internal columns, ensuring unobstructed visibility. Owing to its importance and central location, it is used for major ecclesiastical ceremonies as well as for sacraments of the faithful.
