APOSTLE THOMAS

The small and picturesque chapel of the Apostle Thomas is a true ornament for the community of Ergates in the Nicosia district. It was erected at the beginning of the 20th century and has since been radically renovated twice, with the most recent conservation completed in 2003 thanks to the efforts of the local church committee. The church is inextricably connected with the religious life of the village and celebrates with particular splendour every year on Thomas Sunday.
