APOSTLE LUKE

The holy church is built upon a rise and is the first sight one beholds upon entering the mountain community of Korakou. It is a traditional single-chamber building of the period of Ottoman rule, which stands out for its double wooden roof with the hooked tiles. The external covered open-air spaces on three of its sides lend a distinctive architectural beauty, while in its interior an atmosphere of deep devotion is maintained for the faithful.
