CHURCH OF SAINT AFXIVIOU

This magnificent and imposing church is the pride and the patron of the community of Astromeritis, being dedicated to Saint Auxibius, the first Bishop of Soloi. The foundation of this new monumental work was carried out with full ceremony in 2023, replacing the older facilities in order to accommodate comfortably the faithful of the area. Architecturally it follows the impressive style of the five-aisled domed basilica, having three external porticoes and two large central domes. Owing to its enormous capacity, its comfortable forecourt and its modern facilities, it is ideal for hosting large religious festivals and joyful social sacraments
