CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE OF THE LATINS (RUINS)
This is one of the oldest and most important examples of Gothic ecclesiastical architecture in the walled city of Famagusta. The church suffered severe destruction during the Ottoman siege of 1570, with the result that today mainly its northern side and the apse of the sanctuary survive. The monument stands out for its impressive pointed arches and the ornate sculpted marble elements that decorate its external buttresses.
