CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE

This is the central and most imposing church of the community of Mazotos, which dominates near the central square. The present church was completed at the beginning of the 1960s thanks to the exclusive donations and the fundraising of the residents, replacing earlier, smaller structures that were successively demolished at the same spot. It functions as the principal place of worship of the village, where the parishioners gather every Sunday and at the great feasts, while it is dedicated to the patron Saint of the area
