CHURCH OF SAINT GEORGE

The Holy Church of Saint George (known also as Saint George the Poor) is built on the eastern side of Ypsonas in the Limassol district. Its erection began in 1950 in what was then a remote area upon the remains of an earlier destroyed church, while the works were completed approximately a decade later. Architecturally it is a single-aisled basilica with a pointed vault and a central dome, which is made entirely of stone and has an elegant two-storey bell tower
