CHURCH OF SAINT DEMETRIOS

This main church of the community rises imposingly within the verdant forest of Troodos and is surrounded by a spacious flagstone courtyard. Built on the basis of the Gothic architectural style, it impresses the visitor already from its entrance with a large mosaic, while its interior floor is also of stone. In the interior an exceptionally well-crafted wood-carved iconostasis stands out and the rich decoration with wall paintings. The church is the central worship core of the village, gathering crowds of faithful during the annual festival of the Saint.
