CHURCH OF SAINT THEODOSIOS

This historic church is located at the entrance of the community of Pano Archimandrita in the Paphos district and is dedicated to Saint Theodosios the Cenobiarch. The stone structure was originally erected around 1900, while during the 20th century it underwent extension works in order to meet the needs of the faithful. According to local ecclesiastical tradition, the church functions as the katholikon of an old Byzantine monastery that was dissolved during the Ottoman rule, while at a very short distance is also the famous Cave of the 318 Holy Fathers.
