CHURCH OF SAINT THERAPON

This is a monument of exceptional historical importance, known as the funerary Chapel of Saint Therapon, which is found in the urban area of Drosia in Larnaca. This site is considered the spot where the Saint was martyred or buried, who also served as Bishop of Kition during the first Christian centuries. Today mainly the archaeological remains and the foundations of this ancient building survive, with the local society and the church making efforts for the full restoration and promotion of its religious value
