CHURCH OF SAINT MYKALLOU
This historic and seaside chapel is dedicated to the local Saint Mikallos of Akanthou, one of the 300 Alaman Saints of Cyprus. It is a small, stone-built and vaulted church, which unfortunately bears strongly the marks of plunder and desecration owing to the Turkish occupation. At a very short distance from the building is a natural cave, which houses the tomb, the icon and also the traditional healing holy water of the Saint.
