CHURCH OF SAINT NICHOLAS (SMALL), BISHOPRIC, NICOSIA

The old church of Saint Nicholas is the historic religious ornament located in the heart of the village of Episkopeio in Nicosia. It is an unadorned, traditional stone-built basilica that functioned as the original central church of the community for generations of faithful. After the erection of the modern homonymous Cathedral, this small church is preserved as a devotional chapel, a monument of the local architectural heritage.
