CHURCH OF APOSTLE ANDREW

This majestic church is the main church of the community and is built on a large level plot at the entrance of the village, along the mountain road that leads towards Karvounas. It was erected in the mid-1970s upon the foundations of an earlier little church of 1922, preserving precious holy relics and old icons. Architecturally it follows the type of the three-aisled basilica with a large central dome, while externally it is entirely clad with the authentic local stone of the area. Owing to its comfortable interior space and easy access, the church fully serves all the worship needs of the parish and is ideal for sacraments
