CHAPEL OF SAINT GEORGE, PETRIDIA, EMBA

This historic chapel is located at the site of Petridia in Empa and presents a very distinctive architecture, since its oldest, eastern part is in reality an above-ground built tomb. In its interior worn wall paintings are discernible, while its sanctuary has a unique square shape around a stone Holy Altar. Exactly behind the church is the well-known cave of Saint Lamprianos, from the mouth of which miraculous holy water gushes forth all year round.
