CHAPEL OF SAINT BARBARA (RUINS)

In the rural area of the Municipality of Peyia in Paphos the ruined remains of the old church that was dedicated to Saint Barbara are found. This historic building has suffered total collapse with the passage of the centuries, with the result that only low parts of its stone masonry survive amid the wild vegetation of the countryside. The site lacks a roof and is not functional for sacraments, being a silent archaeological testimony of the medieval heritage of the area.
