CHAPEL OF SAINT MARINA

This particular historic chapel is located at the original site of the village, at a distance of three kilometres from the present settlement, near the forest of Paphos. It is a traditional stone building, beside which the homonymous miraculous holy water spring of the area gushes forth. Every year, on 17 July, a crowd of faithful gathers at the site to honour the memory of Saint Marina, who according to local tradition saved the residents from the deadly epidemic of the plague.
