CHAPEL OF SAINT CHARALAMBOU
This old, stone-built and vaulted chapel is located on the northern coastline of Cyprus, very close to the archaeological site of Panagia Pergaminiotissa. It is built beside a small bay and near a traditional spring of fresh water that bears the name of the Saint. The church presents particular interest for its built iconostasis, while after 1974 it suffered serious looting and desecration. Recently some necessary works of structural conservation and rescue of its fabric were completed with funding from the European Union.
