CHAPEL OF SAINTS UNMERCENARIES

This plain and quiet chapel is located in the rural area of the free community of Avgorou in the Famagusta district. It is a simple building of vernacular traditional architecture with white walls, built to serve the religious needs of the local cultivators. The church is dedicated to the miracle-working Holy Unmercenaries, Cosmas and Damian, and opens its gates to the faithful of the surrounding area during its annual religious feast on 1 November (as well as on 1 July).
