CHAPEL OF PANAGIA GIALOUSAS (RUINS)
This small and isolated medieval chapel is located in the rural area of occupied Yialousa in Karpasia, very close to the coastline. It is a stone-built monument of the Byzantine period, inextricably connected with the history and the name of the surrounding area. Owing to the continuing Turkish occupation since 1974, the church remains without maintenance, silent and entirely inaccessible for the free celebration of sacraments or religious services
