HOLY MONASTERY OF SAINT MAMAS

This is a modern convent retreat located in the rural area of the community of Klirou in the Nicosia district and it comes under the Holy Metropolis of Tamassos and Oreini. The site offers an isolated and serene environment, ideal for the nuns who are settled there so that they may devote themselves to prayer, fasting and spiritual asceticism. The monastery celebrates its festival every year at the beginning of September, attracting faithful from the surrounding areas who arrive in order to honour the memory of Saint Mamas.
