HOLY MONASTERY OF PANAGIA AMASGOU

This historic convent is built on a verdant hill outside the village of Monagri in the Limassol district, near the banks of the Kouris river. The original katholikon of the monastery is a small, single-chamber church with a pitched wooden roof, which preserves in its interior wall paintings of exceptional quality from various periods. After centuries of desolation, the monastic complex was fully re-established in the early 1990s.
