HOLY MONASTERY OF PANAGIA IEROSOLYMITISSAS

The Holy Retreat of Panagia i Ierosolymitissa is a new spiritual refuge located on the boundary of the communities of Kotsiatis and Agia Varvara in the Nicosia district. It officially began operating in 2023 under the spiritual guidance of the Holy Metropolis of Tamassos and Oreini. In the same surrounding monastic area the Chapels of Saint Irene Chrysovalantou and of Saint Mary of Egypt have been erected, while the katholikon of the monastery keeps a faithful and precious copy of the homonymous miraculous icon from the holy city of Jerusalem
