HOLY MONASTERY OF PANAGIA CHRYSOLAKOURNA

The Holy Monastery of Panagia Chrysolakourna is considered the oldest monastery of the Paphos district and is located to the north of the village of Steni. Of the historic complex, which was abandoned at the beginning of the nineteenth century, only its katholikon survives, which was fully restored in the 1970s as a three-aisled basilica. The location offers an excellent panoramic view towards the bay of Polis Chrysochous, while the church is an important place of pilgrimage for the wider area.
