HOLY SPILAION SAINT THEOSEVIOS THE ARSINOITIS

The Holy Cave of Saint Theosevios of Arsinoe is the authentic, ancient place of asceticism of the Saint in the mountainous area of Filousa Chrysochous. It is a natural rock cave in which, according to tradition, the Saint lived and was buried during the fifth century AD. The site is maintained as an extremely devotional rock-cut place of pilgrimage, closely connected with the adjacent modern chapel. The faithful visit the cave in order to venerate at the spot where the Saint lived, seeking spiritual joy.
