HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT BARBARA

The Holy Church of Saint Barbara is the central parish church of the homonymous community in the Nicosia district. This stone building was completed and began to operate regularly in 1917, replacing an earlier historic church that had been completely destroyed by fire. Architecturally it follows the type of the single-aisled basilica, while its interior space is adorned with noteworthy religious relics and icons, being the focal point of the worship events of the residents, particularly during the annual festival of the Saint at the beginning of December
