HOLY CHURCH OF SAINT BARBARA

This large parish church of Limassol was built at the beginning of the 1970s at the site where the community cemetery was formerly located. It is an imposing structure in cruciform style with a dome, which was recently radically renovated with the removal of the external renders so that its traditional stone might be revealed. In its interior a historic pilgrimage icon of the Saint is kept with reverence, while its spacious design includes a carved wooden iconostasis and a large women's gallery
